Dynaste secures the second outing of the season in the Fuller’s London Pride Novices’ Chase
The six-year-old grey gelding, Dynaste, landed the Grade 2 Fuller’s London Pride Novices’ Chase (Registered As The Berkshire Novices’ Steeple Chase) on 30th November, 2012 at Newbury over two miles and four furlongs. He was riding under jockey, Tom Scudamore, and defeated Court In Motion by 4 ½ lengths.
Travelling right in the front and thus setting the pace of the event was, Valmari and even when in the field of sixteen fences, only four remained, the pace setter was enjoying the going. Just at that very moment, the David Pipe trained switched to the outside of the track and presented the leader with a challenge.
However, just when Valmari made the move to respond and reel in, he fell in hard and could not recover the disastrous fall. The incident that cost him the race that he had almost won, left Dynaste ruling the remaining distance.
Court In Motion did try making some attempts but Tom Scudamore, Dynaste’s rider, would just not allow that.
The most favoured candidate of the race delivered right at par with the expectations that were associated with him and gifted the connections with another reason to celebrate as his seasonal opening was nothing less pleasing than the most recent success.
The proud trainer, David Pipe, was happy to comment:
"His jumping was neat and accurate. It probably didn't tell you a lot more but he's done it very nicely.
"Whether his end target will be two and a half or three miles, we don't know yet but he's safely on to the next step.
"He does go slightly left but the Feltham Chase (Kempton, December 26) will have to come into the mix."
Martaline’s grey gelding out of, Bellissima De Mai, kick started the season with a success in the Steel Plate And Sections Novices’ Chase on 16th November, 2012 at Cheltenham race course over two miles and 4 ½ furlongs.
He won the season’s opener with the same jockey, and defeated the most popular entry for the race, Fingal Bay, into the second position.
There is hardly any doubt in the grey gelding’s status as favourite in the next outing due to the impressive form he has been up with since the two outings of the 2012 campaign now. His future races have not been mentioned by the connections as yet.
