Dynaste to bring back the 2012 Feltham title for trainer, David Pipe
Unbeaten in the 2012 campaign is the six-year-old grey gelding, Dynaste. He has kept the betting market of the ante-post favourite for the Cheltenham’s RSA Chase, active and will not take very long to soon head it. For cementing his chances there, the David
Pipe trained is set to compete in the race that for this year will be held under the name of the equine legend, Kauto Star, the Kauto Star Feltham Novices’ Chase at Kempton on the Boxing Day.
Dynaste conquered his seasonal debut on 16th November, 2012 in the Steel Plate And Sections Novices’ Chase at Cheltenham race course over two miles and 4 ½ furlongs.
He won by 4 ½ lengths from the favourite entry of the race, Fingal Bay.
The grey gelding then comforted the connections with his remarkable form in the Grade 2 Fuller’s London Pride Novices’ Chase on 30th November, 2012 at Newbury race course over two miles and four furlongs.
The joyous trainer commented:
"His jumping was neat and accurate. It probably didn't tell you a lot more but he's done it very nicely.”
"Whether his end target will be two and a half or three miles, we don't know yet but he's safely on to the next step.”
The best young staying chaser will face six rivals in the Kempton field.
The year younger than the 2011 Feltham Chase winner, Grands Crus, now has to reclaim the title for the stable this year.
Grands Crus beat the Paul Nicholls’ trained, Silviniaco Conti, to the second position.
Scudamore said: "He has been very impressive. It always gives you so much confidence when horses you have beaten easily end up winning nice races on their own behalf. He seems in great form."
Being this year’s best three-mile chaser anyone has witnessed, Dynaste is going to be the target for the rest contesting. Trainer, Nicky Henderson, is sending Hadrian’s Approach and Molotov for the Feltham, and has already remarked that David Pipe’s entry
will be the one to look out for.
The champion trainer, Paul Nicholls, has secured ground for his stable’s success by sending in Poungach.
Winning the third outing in a row will not only entitle him to a hat-trick but will also give him the fame of bringing back the title to the stable.
