  1. "A dysfunctional family is a family in which conflict, misbehavior and even abuse on the part of individual members of the family occur continually, leading other members to accommodate such actions."~Wikipedia

As you can see from the definition a dysfunctional family would ultimately include a type of misbehavior.  I believe many people think of dysfunction non realistically i.e.- annoying brothers, rebellious teenagers, parents that loose there tempers etc. However I believe it is important to note that a real dysfunction would be a truly deviant behavior such as sexual abuse done to a family member by a family member or other things of that nature including alcoholism/drug abuse.  Behaviors that would be majorly disruptive in a dangerous/unhealthy way.

As for my family there is some dysfunction in the immediate family and of course others that we aren't as close to.

*Also note that dysfunction can also be interpreted depending on culture and religion.
