Question:

Dyson vacuum cleaner - James could have done better?

much as I admire inventors, especially British ones, I think James Dyson would have spent his time more usefully creating a better bagged vacuum cleaner. We have to empty his cylinder into a carrier bag, inhaling dust in the process, then clean out the vacuum container, and the filters (more dust). The DC04 we have is far too heavy and does not suck at the edges of its width.

Sorry James, 10/10 for effort, 3/10 for results. What do you think?

  1. Empty your Dyson outdoors.

  2. dyson shut the factory in england down laying off hundreds of people saying it was to expensive to make in england they are now made in malasia(i think ) dont buy em the prices dindnt go down when he shifted production

  3. I am more than impressed with the cleaning ability of my Dyson, it out performs it's bagged counterparts, but have to say i am slightly disappointed with the messiness of emptying the cylinder.

I find i have to seal my hand and the cylinder in a carrier bad until the dust has settled to prevent muck flying everywhere. I do hear the up to date Dyson's are better at emptying.

The filters i have are washable and don't make any mess when cleaning though.

    Overall an 8/10

  4. I agree health hazard the ad for the dyson with the ball cracks me up,why?Well if you push it into a corner it has the same ability to turn as one with four wheels.

  5. Got to agree with you, emptying is really messy and mine has definitely lost it's 'suck' and it is difficult to keep it smelling fresh .Won't buy another
