I just want to know if any people have found it has affected there life in any way has it affected friendships have you learnt to drive all these things.

Personally for me the most annoying thing is when people who don't even know what it is say things like "oh that's not a special need" or "dyspraxia has nothing to do with that" it just annoys me so much

  1. I was diagnosed with Dyspraxia a very long time ago that I don't even remember not having it! I guess because I have always had it, it is hard to imagine what life would be like with out it. I have a very mild form which means I find hand eye co-ordination really hard, spatial awareness hard (I always bump into things and am clumsy) The thing that I find the hardest and what affects me most is that I can not do more than one thing at a time for example with work I can't do an essay and then go on to revision as it just gets messed up in my head I don't really know how to explain it and it may sound weird but its just how my brain works. It also makes my maths really hard work to a point where I can't even do all my times tables! I think dyslexia has affected me a lot as well, but that’s just my opinion. Also Dyspraxia doesn't make you special needs or stupid me and my firend both have it and we are doing A Levels and are predicted AAA and BBC and are both going to go on to uni, I am going on to a psychology degree.

    Hope this helps xxxxx

  2. Dyspraxia..Hmm Iv never heard of it. If you don't mind..Can you explain what it is?

  3. I've heard of it! But only because I remember someone on Grange Hill had it a few years ago :) My friend has it, although she says that she doesn't do a lot of what she used to when she was little, but she never learnt to ride a bike which annoyed her. But I've never been good at riding a bike either so I can sympathise with her. I refuse to get on one most of the time, especially if I'm going to be on the road in case I fall off.

  4. my little brother suffers from this and it has affected us all. he has problems with co ordination and concentrating and hasnt yet been given any support or medication (if there is any) . it isnt well known and schools are not able to deal with such a rare disorder. people should be more informed

  5. Until I saw your question I was unaware of just what dyspraxia was. So I googled it. I am a little wiser now. Thank you for drawing my attention to the subject.
