Any good dystopian novels you guys would recommend to read? Novels like 1984, Brave New world and Fahrenheit 451 would be great and if they were older novels it'd be awesome.

  1. If you like H.G. Wells I would recommend The Time Machine. Lord of the Flies was good. I don't know if Catch-22 falls under the dystopian category but it was a really good book.

  2. A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep (Also known by the movie title: Blade Runner) by Philip K. d**k

The Children of Men (also adapted to film starring Clive Owen) by P.D. James

Here is an extended list for future reference (many have been adapted to film because they are such great and imaginative stories): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dystopian_f...

  3. Try Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged---I don't agree with her philosophy, but Atlas Shrugged is quite a dystopian novel.

  4. I'd definitely recommend The Aerodrome by Rex Warner:

I also recommend Kafka, especially The Trial.
