The Suwon Bluewings striker has expressed his desire of getting Korean citizenship and becoming the first Yugoslavian player to represent the Taegeuk Warriors
The towering striker is currently playing club football in South Korea and is expected to get the citizenship in the near future.
Radoncic is confident of getting a call-up for the Korean national side immediately after receiving the citizenship. The former Incheon United man is unarguably a talented striker but his national team ambitions could receive a
setback as the Red Devils are not in a hurry to tie knots with the 28-year-old.
However, the South Korean captain, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Park-Chu-Young-c29137, reserved praise for the Yugoslavian and wished him success for his future.
Radoncic believes that he could be more successful for the Korean national team and is confident of his chances of making his way into the starting line-up. The striker also claimed of having a huge fan-base in the country and
therefore expects an automatic selection in the national side.
While talking to Ilgan Sports, the 28-year-old further enthused:
“I am confident. I know I will give it everything I’ve got. If the new coach for Korea selects me, I will put my best effort forward to survive on the national team. I am in good physical shape. Even if I don’t score, I will create
chances for my team-mates and throw the opponents’ defence into confusion.”
“They will help me and I will help them if there is anything I can do for them. They all congratulated me when I announced my plan. There was a lot of support for me.” He concluded.
The Bluewings attacker recently parted ways with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Seongnam-Ilhwa-Chunma-c40482 after spending two years at Tancheon Sports Complex. He made 65 league appearances during his stay at the club, bagging 20 goals during the process.
Radoncic has also represented one-time K-League runners-up, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Incheon-United-c39560, and managed to bag 24 league goals from 95 appearances during his four-year stay at the Incheon Munhak Stadium.
The striker is expected to get his citizenship in a week’s time after which he will be eligible for selection in the South Korean national team.
