E A Gaskin kept his chin up after Allowadle Magico’s super class hit in the A6 400M Flat
A prominent race among the Grade A6 races, the A6 400 M Flat, contributed in Allowadale Magico’s achievement at Romford racing course. The three-year-old has been racing at Romford for quite some time, recently giving a hit in the same race held on 8th
September.
On 12th September, Allowdale Magico got another chance, which she availed to earn the prize money for trainer E A Gaskin.
Being the 3/1 favourite, she fulfilled all expectations with the help of her tremendous performance against the five hounds.
Wearing black and white jacket with red number, the black hound began her chase with an amazing pace. Initially the trap 6 racer was wide away, but later on she greased her elbows and eventually, she was leading the race that proved her as the real go getter.
Finishing first in 24.82 seconds made the lucky champ win the purse for trainer E A Gaskin.
The white and brindle b***h who managed to finish second for trainer M L Locke was You Have That.
The three-year-old was ¾ of a length behind the purse winner due to her sluggish aptitude.
As trap 2 opened for her start, she railed through the track with a not so impressive run, but gradually got herself charged which helped her in leading the race for ½ a length.
24.88 seconds of time was recorded in which You Have That got hold of the finish line, leaving behind Blue Iris.
P W Young’s four-year-old finished third by 1 length, because of her unimpressive performance.
The trap 5 runner, 8/1 favourite Blue Iris, was initially very slow, but later on she ran really well and managed to cover the 400 meters distance in 24.96 seconds.
Coolmakee Sniper, the only male dog among the pack, was not able to compete with the powerful performance of his opposite s*x contenders.
M E Lucas's black dog initialised his chase from trap 1 with an outclass boost, but sadly he got wide away and was able to lead the race for only about ½ a length.
Finishing fourth for trainer M E Lucas, Coolmakee Sniper covered his required distance in 24.98 seconds, leaving Breaking Down, a black b***h, 2 ¾ lengths behind.
J W Reynolds’s two-year-old would have scored really well, but unfortunately the trap 4 racer got checked in by 3 lengths, when she reached the middle of the track.
This situation contributed big time in her slow speed that made her finish fifth in 25.20 seconds.
The last one to cross the wire was trainer A J Ingram’s unlucky black b***h, Quivers Twist, who finished sixth, 2 ¼ lengths behind Breaking Down.
The harsh condition of the race got in over the two-year-old Quivers Twist’s head.
A good performance was quite far-fetched for A J Ingram because it was too late for the hound to end with a decent or satisfactory position.
Her total estimated time in which she was able to get hold of the wire was 25.38 seconds.
Out of the total prize money of £257, the winner earned £107 for her trainer whereas the rest of the hounds were rewarded £30 each.
