Question:

E-Mailing a File From File Section to Group Members?

I have a small group of about 6 people. We have uploaded a number of files (.doc, .pdf, .tif, etc) and one of the members wanted me to E-Mail her a copy of some of the "Up-Loaded" files in our Yahoo Group. But, I could not find anyway to send a copy to her from the Group File Section.

Is there something I am missing.

Sincerely,

  1. No, you are not missing anything.  There are only auto-send options and those do not include what she wants.

That member could go to the group, locate the files she wants and open them one file at a time. She could then copy the file and save it on her computer.  That would save both of you a lot of time and effort.

  2. To send an email message to the group announcing the file, check the box under "Notification".

  3. after the person is a member just tell her to download it from the group
