  1. Never happened but I have bid and then thought "oh no, Hope I get out-bid" (And luckily was). You should really read all details about the item, especially shipping cost (since some ebayers trick you and charge ridicules amounts) before you bid.

Try emailing the seller before you pay. If there were others bidding along with you the seller might not have a problem offering it to one of the others for the same price. Be nice, explain, and you might just have one of the nicer ones.

    Good luck!

  2. it does say when you click to buy something that you have to be serious about buying the item and must pay for it once its bought,  if you dont want it just re-sell it

  3. ask the seller  to agree to mutual agree to cancel the sale that way he will not have to pay the fees for the listing

and that is the only legal way

    regards x kitti x

  4. If you feel the seller misrepresented the item, and you've contacted the seller to try and resolve this without success, you should then try and resolve it through eBay and PayPal (if you used that). Remember, negative feedback and a good, bitchy remark, goes a long way towards influencing other potential buyers...

  5. ohhhh that happened to my i want it 2 buy an ipod from china for 20 bucks and when i pay they didnt give me the charger bc they said it wasnt included i was so mad i threw the ipod ( bc there wasnt anythign else i could do with it bc it was dead)

    i was sad 2 :'(

  6. if it was described as used, it's kind of your problem for not reading it properly, try msging the seller and explain it to them, they may understand, they may not

  7. Oops. You could email the seller and apologise saying that you didn't realise it was a used item and explaining that it's for a Christmas present.   Some ebayers are great that way, though it means they lose out on their listing charges.  You could maybe see if there was anything else from the same person you could substitute it for, or ask if they have any of the same item but unused.  Technically, you've agreed to buy and can be held to it, but you could be lucky if the seller is in the Christmas mood!    If several people were bidding on it then the seller can offer it to one of them as a second chance offer so won't be out of pocket.   Then again, you could go ahead with the purchase and re-list it yourself.  Good luck.

  8. email them and explain you have changed your mind. but you will mostprob get negative feedback and the seller may still tell you that you have to buy it.

  9. No. You should read the auction description closely. Remember this is an AUCTION, not window shopping at the mall.

  10. Just contact the seller and see what they say, you might get negative feedback.

  11. You can TRY to ask the seller if they will refund you, but really, you committed to buy.

It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to read the description entirely.

    It happens.

You get so excited that you placed a bid, then find out you won, and then go back to read, and find out that it is not what you wanted.

Me being a seller, would refund you.

  12. Technically it is your liability, you commit to buy when you bid and if they did list it as used then they are not in the wrong! All you can do is ask the vendor nicely if they will consider rescinding the sale, they might do it, but be prepared to receive negative feedback as not all Ebayers are understanding and helpful.  If you are not worried about feedback, then I dont think you have much to lose!

  13. Did the seller not list it as used? Or did you not read the auction completely?

If it's the first, then write the seller and explain your displeasure with the hidden information.

If it's the second, then that's your fault and you just learned a valuable lesson about reading completely before entering into  a contract with anyone. The seller shouldn't be punished because you didn't read the listing completely.

  14. e-bay uses the 'buyer beware' type of scenerios. when you agree to buy an item it's pretty much a bound contract and they can follow through legally. you can also question the seller and say you don't feel comfortable buying something without a return policy. they may understand.

  15. contact the seller sometimes their phone no is included on their deatails or email and explain to avoid negative feedback. good luck .

  16. You have entered into a binding contract, so unless the seller misrepresented the item for sale I think you may have to pay.  Did they state that it was a new item?  If so you do not have to pay.

  17. Well if the seller has advertised it as used then this is the agreement you bid & win then I'm afraid you have to pay for it,thats the e-bay rules.

  18. I'm afraid if they have a no returns policy then your stuck with it. It should have mentioned in the description of the item if it was new or used. Learn from this and read every detail before you commit next time.

  19. I think the only way you could get out of this is if the buyer made it seem as though the item was new before you bid on it.

If you simply failed to read the description, it is still your responsibility to fulfill your obligation.

By the same token, you could just not pay, take the negative feedback and carry on.

  20. you will end up getting negative feedback if you cant agree with the seller that the product was not as thought, better email seller and try to explain, he should send you an unpaid dispute item and then you just put down your reasons.

  21. if you have actually bidded on the item, then you are legally bound to buy it if you win! But whta you can do is contact ebay, and the seller and say why you dont want it! The seller may be a genuine nice person, i hope so!!! Good Luck!!! p.s. they seller should have mentioned clearly on the description that it was used!!

  22. Hmmm............ email them and explain.  If it stated USED in the description and you didnt notice it then they can insist on payment xxxxx

  23. if i were you id email them.explain why you dont want it,then cancell your bid!!!!  good luck! x
