E-lottery?

I got this email through saying i had won some money? it was from an online email promotion saying i had been selected from 50,000,000 emails. it says "We happily announce to you the Draw of the E-Lottery online email promotion program held on 30th May, 2008. All 10 winning e-mailaddresses were randomly selected from a batch of 50,000,000international emails.Your emails address emerged alongside 3 othersas a category 2winner in this Year's Annual E-Lottery Draw.

Consequently, you have therefore been approved for a total pay out of£173,804.00 (One Hundred and Seventy Three Thousand Eight Hundred andFour British Pounds Sterling only). The following particulars are attachedto your lotto payment order:

And then it says email number and winning ticket and lotto code number and ref number.

and Please contact your claims officer as soon as possible for theimmediate release of your winnings:.

It's a very common scam. Simply delete it and forget about it.

Without question you should ignore it.

I have had the same thing in the post before and it is a scam to get you to release your bank account details.

Think about it - where have they got your details from?

As they say - if anything looks too good to be true, then it probably is.
