EARLY RETIREMENT can i get my work pension now?

Im 65 in october and retiring after 50 years my health not good and would like to retire now would this affect my superannuation pension ?and would i be able to claim it now if i want to?

  1. Depends on company policy.  You should be able to use all accumilated leave, vacation, sick days to stretch your time.  Check with HR office. Also you should be calling Social Security and setting up your benefits. Medicare and monthly checks.


  2. It shouldn't do. You will have to consult your agreement, perhaps even call the company who is handling your pension for clarification.

  3. You should be able to receive it.  That is based upon your age, tenure with employer, and reason for early retirement.

  5. Yes, you should be able to retire now and have your superannuation pension paid to you, if any one retired at 60 they get there pension paid to them. so I don't think that you will have any trouble.
