This is the first time I have sold something on Ebay, the auction as ended and someone won but I don't know whether payment has been made.

I checked my Paypal account and it said my balance was £0.00, this means he has not paid right? also is there another way I person can check whether papyment had been made

  1. If the person paid by Paypal you will know it through three ways:

1 - You will receive a PAYMENT NOTIFICATION email from Paypal telling you that a payment was made for your specific auction

2- Your Paypal account will show the payment made

3 - When you login to your eBay account under your Items Sold, there will be a P mark if the item has been paid by the buyer through Paypal

If there's none, then it means he has not paid yet

  2. phone ebay on

    Call eBay Customer Support

    020 8080 2105

Someone will be able to go through it with you, sometimes it's better speaking to someone

  3. When you sign into ebay go to the page called my ebay, next to the sold item you will see a £ icon when this is blue the item has been paid for

  4. They send you a paypal message on your email account saying if they have payed through paypal. Or if you go on the item you sold it will say if they paid the item through paypal

  5. you should get an email when a paypal payment has been made. Go into your My ebay page and there should be a message saying item awaiting payment. when it is paid the £ icon next to the item details will be bold. Sometimes it takes the screens on paypal and ebay a little while to update but give it a few days to give the buyer time to send payment.

  6. Don't send anything until you see the money is in your paypal account.  Paypal will send you an email stating it is there and you can log in to confirm.
