I am new to ebay and have sold only a few items. Paypal called me the other day stating that im SUPPOSED to provide a tracking number. And IM supposed to pay for that. But yet when I buy things off of ebay, I never get a tracking number. SO whats the actual policy on that?

  1. If you ship through pay pal and print your own postage they provide the tracking for just a few cents (maybe $.17)  I have never heard that it is mandatory however it is a good idea and a protection for you.  I once had a customer tell me that they had not received my item and printed out the tracking report and sent it to them.  I never heard another word.

  2. i always buy and sell on ebay i dont always get the tracking number. you don;t have to

  3. I both buy and sell on Ebay and when i sell something i do provide a tracking number maunly to prove the person received the item i sold to them.

Yet on the outher hand i make alot of Ebay purcheses and not all the sellers provide me with a tracking number.

I find the best method for proveing i sent the item and they got it by paying 60 cents for delivery conformation then i can run the number on the postal traking website and see the date, time and place where they did receive the item.

    Good luck
