  1. How could you "accidently" bid?? Did you not notice the "BIDDING IS A CONTRACT" part????????? Seriously, you entered into a CONTRACT. OF COURSE HE WANTS YOU TO PAY!!

He could take you to court if he wanted to.. eBay is hard work, and getting your listing fees back is a real PITA! He is just asking for you to pay his fees to save him the trouble of going through the NPB process which will hurt YOU more than any negative!! 3 of those and your are BANNED aka NARU'd from eBay.

  2. Nothing will happen, except for probably bad feedback and reputation. Try to apologize and say it was a mistake if you can, but nobody will force you to buy it.

  3. Not only can he not force you to honor your bid but it is against ebay policy to make any "side deals", like he did by wanting you to pay his listing fee.

He does have the right to (and probably will) leave you negative feedback for backing out of the bid. It could hurt your feedback score a lot if you don't have a lot of positive feedback already. Some sellers won't accept bids from people with "bad" feedback ratings so you need to be careful.

I suggest you just apologize again and be careful bidding but DO NOT pay him unless you are going to go through with the original transaction.

    Good Luck!
