I just sold an item and i specifically stated that i CANNOT except Pay Pal on the listing and that i can only accept cheques or postal orders - but i had to put down that pay pal is an optional payment because i haven't sold enough items on there not to.

but the winner has paid me through my Pay pal account (that doesn't even exist any more because i don't think that bank account of mine is even open)

is there anyway of cancelling the payment?

it also says "1 item I sold is eligible for a Second Chance Offer."

what does this mean?

*confused*

  1. You can have the payment reversed and sent back.

Second chance offer is if the first sale fell through or you have more than one of the same item, if you had another same item you could offer it to the second highest bidder at their highest bid.

  2. You shouldn't have listed the item unless you could take paypal...if I were you I would email the buyer..explain what has happened and then contact ebay customer services...or paypal...all the numbers are there...the 2nd chance offer does not affect you. Go on EBAY community and get advice for new sellers before you list again./

  3. You shouldn't be listing if you cannot take Paypal a lot of buyers just read the payment section to see how you would like to be paid. Also all sellers on Ebay are required to have Paypal now so you will probably be reported as a bad seller!!
