EBT or Food Stamps ?????

Well, me and my husband and two girls just got approved for food stamps in louisiana. My husband just recently got outta school and works very hard everyday...we just cant make ends meet until his pay goes up...so here we are! anyhow, my question is: Are food stamps taxed?...i mean the purchases made? and if you dont spend all the money in a month, does it roll over to the next? thanks!

No there is no tax on the things you typically can buy with your food stamp card.  And no it doesn't roll over to the next month either.

Food purchased with food stamps is exempt from sales tax.  And, no, you do not have to spend it all every month, you can roll some over to the next month.
