Question:

EBay Shipping Damage?

I sold a purse on EBay. Under the item description I put the shipping service as:

US Postal Service Priority Mail®

Estimated delivery 2-3 days*

Now when I got to the post off, I asked for that sort of package so I can mail the item and the man working there gave me a large envelope. The purse fits perfectly but my concern is that the purse may be damaged because its just a regular envelope and maybe flimsy? And I am worried the purse may be banged up.

Do you think it will be fine or is it sure to face damage?

Looking back, I wish I had got some sort of small box.

  1. Totally wrong category.

If you're that concerned though wrap it in bubble wrap or when you go to the post office to drop it off (unless you mail from home) just grab one of their free boxes that is used for priority shipping. Problem solved. Personally, I only use bubble cushioned mailers for my eBay items, just to be on the safe side.

    Good luck!

  2. Purses should go in boxes and if it's over $25, it should be insured.  The seller is responsible if an item arrives damaged and insurance protects you.
