EBay coupons?

Question

i have a paypal account and an ebay account, i won this item and payed using my paypal, including postage it came to £20.00, but it said i had a £2.50 coupon and deducted £2.50 off the total, but i didnt even know i had a coupon and didnt put in a code, i had an email confirming payment for £17.50 , but when i look on paypal account there is no mention of the coupon and just says £20.00, whats going on, can anyone explain?

do you spend alot using paypal? if so, it could be an incentive to spend more

With paypal no one can explain it has a mind of its own and is very moody and expensive.
