EBay help? I'm a beginner

Question

I've browsed eBay for quite a long time now and I'm unsure about a few things before I begin shopping/buying/selling.

1) What if your item purchased does not arrive?

2) Must the seller know any personal information about you? (such as telephone #, home address?)

3) How does the seller know where to ship the item?

4) What if the payment is not made after a person wins an auction?

Btw, I'm 14 years old.

Anything else that may be important about eBay is appreciated.
