If I post an item to sell on eBay that is worth let's say $50.00, and I charge $10.00 to ship it.. do I pay for the shipping or does the buyer? So if I sell it for $50, would I only make $40 after shipping? Or do they pay me via paypal for the shipping, so I make $60 and then pay for the shipping myself?

  1. If you post it and the total price that it sells for is 50 and then it says 10 for shipping, then the buyer pays a total of 60. If you state that shipping is free, then it comes out of your own pocket.

  2. If you are charging for shipping, the buyer will pay the amount you've asked for. You must still pay for the shipping when it comes time to ship, either  by transfering the money from PayPal to your account or by paying from your pocket, but either way, your shipping cost is covered. Just be sure to charge ENOUGH shipping or you will be short changed in the end.

Bascially: you charge $50 for item, $10 for ship..customer pays the $60 :)

  3. you combine the shipment price  and the regular price when you pay on it for paypal, so yes. The buyer pays the price for the item u are selling and the shipping.
