ECE, Computer Science, Computer Software Engineer?

Question

When I search with the keyword "Computer Software Engineer" on sites like careerbuilder, yahoo hotjob, and monster.com. They list the required degree for the jobs as Computer Science or equivalent degree.

Is ECE( Electrical and Computer Engineer ) considered as an equivalent degree to Computer Science degree?

Is Computer Software Engineer considered as a different degree from Computer Science degree?

Yes, there are alot of differences. CS have more to do with programming and building software solutions for  hardware devices. In contrast, computer engineering have more to do with the integration of software(written by computer scientists) and hardware (designed by electrical or electronics engineers). hope this helps
