Question:

ECE Experiences?

I'm 27-years-old and have a degree in communication. I've been working in an office for the past 6 years and am currently in a job that I'm totally miserable in.

I'm looking at going back to school and one option I'm considering is getting an ECE certificate. Has anyone gotten their ECE certificate and are now working in the field? Do you like the work? Is it hard, fun, boring...?

Any experiences would be great! Thanks!

  1. Hi there, I'm a 25 year old Male from california, I have my assosiate teacher certificate in ECE, which means I can be an assistant in a preschool classroom, i'm currently working on my Assosiates degree at a community college.. currently I work at a private school as a playground assistant. i watch children and make sure they don't fight and i also make sure they don't get hurt. Also sometimes i help out in a classroom if one of the assistant teachers are sick. I love it!  I need to have more confidence in the classroom so I'm still learning but on the playground I love it. You play in the sand, water player. its sooo much fun! I love when the children say Hi Mr. (Brown)(not my last name).  Its never Boring! children always put a smile on my face when I see them. When I work in the classroom, its hard for me because my confidence level needs improvment. I think working with children is amazing! you teach them and they teach you sometimes!

    HOpe that helps. !
