ECommerce site: Selling a lot of items

I want to sell a lot of books on a site, and I do not want to creat a webpage for each book.

How can I have a page generate each time based of a database or something, making it look as if each page was individually made. Like Amazon.

You want to use a shopping cart or eCommerce software on your site.  Take a look at Magento for example -- http://www.magentocommerce.com/

Other free shopping cart programs include OSCommerce, ZenCart, CRE, OpenCart, and Virtue Mart to name a few.

In all cases you input you product information through the administrative interface and you site's pages are built based on categories, featured products and other parameters that you set.
