EDUCATORS - Do you know how to cancel membership with the NEA?

I just joined the NEA today and decided to go with Georgia's PAGE insurance for student teaching. I saw no place at all to help me with cancelling my NEA insurance - and it does not go in effect until September 1 so I don't see why they make it so difficult. If anyone can help please let me know!

  1. Canceling should be as easy as contacting the NEA and telling them you no longer need their insurance plan.  Will they try to talk you out of it, of course!  But if you have a "better" deal, then you should do what is best for you.  Best wishes and good luck.


  2. You are kidding right?

    What if you were to need that insurance - you are going to rely on YA to have someone help you find how to contact them?

    They *do* have an office. with office hours. Not everything exists on the net - when dealing with something as important as insurance - you'll probably want to call them and deal with it personally.
