I've been thinking about going to England or the USA for quite some time now. I want to go with the EF high school program right after I graduate here in Holland.

Now I prefer England because it's closer and also I love the accent! But I have no idea what British schools are like! The ones you see in movies are always in the USA and of course I have no idea what they really are like. But could some one describe to me what English schools are like. ( I know I use the word "like" a lot XD ) For instance, do they have clubs? like a drama club? and what kind of subjects can you choose?

I'd really appreciate your help!

  1. I've been to both places to study.

All I can tell you is that America is definitely your best bet.

The people here just love foreign exchange students and America has sooo many wonderful people. It will also be very very kind to your wallet seeing as how much our dollar has dropped.

Also: American school has a zillion different clubs, my school is very small and we have around 30 clubs invluding drama, Shakespear (reinacted), British lit. acted out and so on. Come to America dolly! We would love to have you!

  2. i go to school in england and i love it.

how old are you? if you're wanting to study A-Levels then you chose 3 or 4 subjects. you can choose pretty much anything.. languages/art/photography/drama/theatre studies/law etc.

we have a drama club. there's loads of clubs. obviously it'll depend on how big the school is but there'll probably be something to suit any interest.. debating/sport etc.

and we dont have like 'popular' groups n all that like in america!
