EFL teachers: Can anyone recommend a good movie to watch with teens at a pre-intermediate level of English?

It would have to be a movie that teens (13 to 15 years old) would enjoy, understand with the aid of subtitles in English, and that would be clear enough for them to make a summary afterwards or for the class to work on certain vocabulary aspects.

Thanks!

  1. last year, i taught a group of 12 years old by teaching them school subjects! n i found out that they have english problem! so u noe wat i had did? i put their favourite cartoon like for example, "nemo" then when they finished watching the movie, i will gv them quiz in english version! so i will ask them questions bout the cartoon they had watched in english n they must answer me back in english, too! if they answered me correctly but used other languages like malay, chinese or so on, they will lose a half of the points! but if they answered incorrectly but had tried their best to use english, i will gv them a bonus points! thats my way! hope it will help!(or not)! bye! :P

  2. first you have to assess your students. can they go through the pacing of a certain movie or is it better to show them clippings from movies.. you have to know their level before jumping into showing movies.. :) anyway try simple ones , cartoons are best choices since there are lessons learned.
