Hello, I think my Engine is a D15B7. I have an EG civic that was manufactured in July '94. AUDM Model also. It is a carburetter engine too with a fixed air intake manifold...and a big ugly round air filter box. Which engine is this?

  1. On the front of the engine, where the block meets the transmission, is a small flat spot where the engine code is stamped on it.  You may have to spray some brake cleaner on it, and rub it with a rag if it's too dirty to read.  The engine code will be in big numbers & letters.  There will also be a long set of smaller numbers below it, but those aren't important, only the big numbers & letters are.

And the D15B7 did not come in a '96-'98 Civic, it came in the '92-'95 Civics.

  2. Okay here's the thing. That engine belongs to a 96-98 honda civic DX. It looks like it's a carburetor engine but it's not. It 's just the way the intake manifold was set up. Guess it was swapped out before you bought it. Inorder for it to be carbureted it had to of been an honda engine back in the 80's.
