EKG Technicians.....do you like your job or not & why or why not?

I was an EKG tech for a couple years before working as a paramedic/firefighter. I loved the job. Every day is different. Every patient is different. Pay was OK.

It's alright. The main challenge is the amount of paper work! It also takes a certain type of person to be able to interact appropriately with such an incredibly diverse array of patients. You will see seemingly lifeless cancer patients who weigh less than 100 lbs, rambunctious 14 year olds who recently went on ADHD meds, women with CHF and systemic edema so bad that their legs are 20 inches around, morbidly obese people, attractive people your age (which could make things awkward) and victims of poisoning, overdoses, heatstroke and just about anything else you could imagine. It is a very interesting job in that respect.

The pay is next to nothing though. It's borderline-volunteer work.
