EMA if im 17 and living with my partner not a parent.?

can i claim ema and how much if im 17 living with a partner not a parent and doing 3 subjects at AS and Alevels. i heard something about you have to be claiming income support before you can have ema if ur living independantly please help me out as i hope to start college in september. thank you

ye you can go to the EMA website only goes up to £30 a week though

Yeah i think you need have an income of some sort.

This is what you can get;

up to £20,817 per year  ÃƒÂ‚£30 per week

£20,818 - £25,521 per year  ÃƒÂ‚£20 a week

£25,522 - £30,810 per year  ÃƒÂ‚£10 a week

more than £30,810 per year no entitlement to EMA
