Hi guys, yes, I have done the initial internet research so don't go telling me ISH unless I don't know it already. No, I'm sorry, thats only a half joke...My problem: My ears are tearing underneath where they're supposed to connect to my head at the bottom and it is because I have eczema. I've done enough research to figure out what I think the doctor can perscribe me without seeing a derm (which I can't so don't say "see a derm", are you fronting me the $?) but I need to know any other medications you guys reccomend AND if my ears will begin to heal underneath with the medication (and re-connect back to my head) or will I have to use some type of cell regenerating moisturizer or something along those lines (whatever that means!?)?

Peace, Thank you in advance, because I really need this help!

  1. I sometimes have the same case as you, but only a few times and not so severely (just crusting, itchiness, and bleeding behind the ear). First of all, don't touch them or scratch them.

You can try Hydrocortizone, which I don't think requires a prescription, but it also isn't as effective as something prescribed by a dermatologist. It's for rashes and such. (It might be working, but very slowly.)

I used something powerful (which can induce scar-like skin), however it worked wonders. I don't quite remember the name of it, however it was steroid-based. (Don't quote me on that, just in case).

Once again, don't touch it. Try not to let moisture get to it either. Also, avoid any possible foods you may be slightly allergic to like nuts, seafood, or red meat. While you may not be allergic to those categories I listed above, they contain oils and proteins that may not be good for one's skin. So, try avoiding those foods for a few weeks.

Also, make sure you're getting vitamin B2 (also known as riboflavin). I think it's an important factor.

    Hope some of that helps.

  2. You need to find a way to get a presription... over the counter meds don't work . I was given a prescription for"clotrimazole/betameth creamtar ."  i've finally beaten eczema with it.

  3. I heard cow dung applied topically works...

  4. my mother had it so bad she was hospitalized for it once a year, they gave her some kind of tar treatments and put her under heat lights, have you noticed its not as bad in hot weather, i know you have to keep it moist at all times, check the drug store for tar based ointment or cream.
