the data that results from these tests. is it easily usable by another specialist.

i.e is it logical or practical to request the data in order that another specialist can look at it. will the data be self explanatory , or what information would the other specialist require in order that he give a second opinion.

  1. Nerve conduction studies are mainly done by neurologists. However, some larger orthopedic clinics have orthopedic specialists on staff who do nothing but those studies. The studies are then translated into a report that the orthopedic surgeon can read in english. He can request the stats from the study if he has sufficient knowledge of the field. My orthopedic surgeon speaks to the neurologist about the study.

  2. yeah

  3. I had those tests done and took the results to another doc and they were able to read them, should be ok.

I don't think they put anything in there that requires an Inspector Gadget decoder ring or anything to decipher. lol

When you go to the other doctor,his/her office can contact the first doctor's office and have them fax over your records. Lots of people get second opinions,it won't be the first time they've been asked to do this.(or the last)

  4. Ask  for  a  print out  and  written  report.
