I'm not necessarily talking about dealing with patients, I'm pretty sure most of you don't like the drunks, weirdos etc. I am talking about dealing with your own peers. Is it hard at times?

  1. can be, you basically spen more time with them than you do your family, and you fight and you laugh you make life long friends and you meet ppl you can't stand its just like any social situatuation

  2. though i'm only a jr. emt I've been on calls and have been involved with it for a few years now.

Honestly What I love about the job is probably when you get an update on a patient (when they come to see you or thank you) You feel really great when you can see someone walking around with a smile on their face. NOw honestly the worst part has to be after you lose a patient, though everybody tells you it's not your fault it is very difficult to believe them and for a long time, you think that you shouldn't be doing the job. Eventually you figure out that you can't save everybody. But always beware that patients families may blame you. It's part of the job you've got to hate it to be any good at it.
