Hey

I have Endo and have since i was 16 and was put on the pill which was changed ever couple of months as pain and bleeding came back. At 18 ish i bleed for nearly two years in a row until i got sent back to hospital to have a lap to see how bad it was. has got worse but worse part for me is the bleeding all the time and very bad pain i faint, throw up, cant sleep, cant leave bed and make me ill in general.

anyway, offered me more ops didnt want (as only just had one) this as scar is very bad is big and lumpy has misshaped my belly button. they sent me away for 3months to have a think what i wanted to do,

when i went back i still didnt no what i wanted, so gave me another week, i chose prostap injections, i have been on them for 7 months and they wore off about 2 weeks ago ( i have been counting from start as i was told only last 4 weeks) and i still have bad flushs, and mood swings, hair falling out and all other c**p, but after the last 3 month injection i have had no bleeding or pain which is ace, but back to point no one can tell me how long i have to wait for my system to get set back up and go back to normal (i cant wait to start bleeding and see if it has helped) , does anyone have any ideas??

i am nearly 21 and planning on getting married late 2009 and then trying for kids.

Please hope someone can help me.

Thanks a lot.

  1. Endo sucks. I was diagnosed at 14 and had a lap at 16.  I am 24 now.  I take birth control pills (Yaz) straight through (never take the sugar pills) so I do not have my period (ever bleed).  I tried everything from the Depo shot to testerone pills to help the pain and I've never felt better than I do now.  I don't have any pain, I dont have my period, I'm not moody and have no side effects b/c Yaz is a low dose hormone.

I would keep exploring your options, trying different things.  Never let yourself bleed for more than 2 weeks; then you need to go get medication (high dosage estrogen) that will stop the bleeding and they will wean you off of it so you don't start bleeding.  I bled very heavily for 3 months after my lap and lost 25 lbs (was 100 to start with).  The hormone finally stopped it.
