  1. You would have to start it with gas, and mount a turbo charger to boost it up to about 20 psi, switch over to diesel. Not so sure about finding a turbo that could kick out that much boost at idle and it should work, but I have never  seen it.

Maybe a turbo some how hooked up to an electric motor to provide the boost for idle.

It would still be a 2 stroke.

At one time you could find 2 stroke diesel engines. Model airplanes use them.

Be careful, it might just self destruct due to stress.

I would not even try it.

I might let my ex try it (if I had a paid up life insurance policy on  her).

  2. not sure that is even possible. it takes a massive amount of compression to ignite diesel. plus 2 cycle engines are valve less. hope you get a better answer cuz now i am curious.

  3. two rolls of baling wire

    five rolls of duct tape

    one cup of sugar

    and boil for 55 minutes.

    Viola!

  4. I am really not sure what you are asking.

There is no way under the sun to make a 2 stroke gas engine into a 4 stroke diesel.

2 strokes use reed or rotary valves and diesels use standard valves.

2 strokes tend to have narrow high powerbands and diesels tend to be slow revving engines with lots of low-end torque.

2 strokes tend to be low compression engines and they use spark for ignition. Diesels actually use massive compression to ignite the mixture.

I know in many less developed countries with limited resources, gas engines are converted to run on diesel fuel or kerosene by preheating the fuel before it's atomized, but I have no idea how that is actually done.

It would be hard to pick two piston engines that were harder to compare.
