EPL, Chelsea News: Anelka considers a move to MLS, Kakuta wants a place in the first team
Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka’s agent and brother has revealed that the striker is thinking about moving to the United States when his current contract expires. Anelka will be out of contract by 2012 and is reportedly interested in moving to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390 to
play Major League Soccer.
If Anelka does indeed leave Stamford Bridge and go over to the States, he will have spent some 11 years in the English Premier League. The 31-year-old striker is one of the most experienced players in the English, but at this stage a fresh challenge could
be tempting.
Anelka will be following former Arsenal and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thierry-Henry-c34918 if he goes on to play in the Major League Soccer. Another former Arsenal player Freddie Ljunberg is also currently playing in the American league, which is becoming more attractive
for ageing footballers.

On the other hand, French youngster Gael Kakuta said he is determined to earn a place in the first team after he committed his future with the Blues. The 19-year-old forward has set his goals in the upcoming seasons to be a regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s first
team.
Previous reports hinted the youngster was considering a move away from Stamford Bridge next summer, since his contract was going expire. Europe’s elite were keeping an eye on him, which made a move away more possible.
However, he has committed to his future with the Blues for another four years, which will definitely strengthen Ancelotti’s squad. He said while speaking to reporters,
“Since I signed for Chelsea when I was 16 all I was thinking about was to get to the first team. Now I have been playing a few times with the first team and I have signed for four-and-a-half more years, I have to make a way for myself into the starting
11 and make my dream come true.”
Kakuta was confident he would get his chance to play in the first team. In the meantime he said he would try his best. He added, “The manager said to me it is the right time to play and I think for me it is as well. It's my job to do my best and try
to play more often and show the coach that I am good enough to play in the team.”
