EPL: Arsenal’s injury tragedy before the Dark November, Persie, Walcott, Fabregas, Nasri, Bendtner & Ramsey injuries Part 1
It has been officially announced that the Dutch super star Robin van Persie is put off for a couple of weeks because of his injury, and therefore he will be missing the starting matches of Champions League for Arsenal.
Sources have confirmed that the winger will now be out of action until mid October. He is out because of an ankle injury that happened in during a match.
Earlier reports had concluded that the forward who can play at a number of positions on the left flank was out for just a couple of matches that would be in a week or two, but now further examination has revealed that the injury is more severe and the player will be out longer.
The Netherland international got the injury, while playing in a match against Blackburn Rovers that Arsenal eventually won 2-1. When the injury was sustained Van Persie immediately clamped his foot with his hands and the fans knew that the player was injured.
The 27-year-old player was also forced to be benched because of this injury, therefore was unable to take part in Netherlands’s opening match for the Euro 2012 qualification. It is now predicted that the player might possibly be part of the qualifiers matches later on.
After assessment from the medical team it has been revealed that the player will be out for at least 6 weeks. It is said that the player has suffered severe ligament damage and that is why he is out for such a long period.
This is a dire situation for the North Londoners, as many other key players from the club are also unavailable. For instance Fabregas is not currently in match playing fitness; also Samir Nasri and Theo Walcott have recently injured themselves.
The Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger certainly must be thinking of what he will be managing what he would be doing in Dark November, the time when North London is hit by misfortune from the whole world.
Wenger has stated his regret over Van Persie’s injury, commenting that it was a major blow for the club. He told that the club would definitely be affected, and it would be tough task for him to recover back the club to their top form.
Officials from the club have stated, “Robin van Persie will have to wait a little longer before he is back in the first-team frame. The Dutchman injured his ankle against Blackburn Rovers on August 28 and will be sidelined for longer than anticipated earlier.”
Regarding the absence of the player from the field, it was stated, “Van Persie is likely to be out of action until mid-October."
It is being said that the player will not be available for the match against Chelsea on the 3rd of October. That is just part of the projection; the player will also miss 4 other matches of English Premier League.
The prodigal left-footed player started his career from Excelsior and Feyenoord. From Feyenoord the player started his official career and from 2001 to 2004 time period, the player has acquired 71 caps and scored 15 goals.
