Question:

EPL Dream Team Question.... Keep Bale or Not?

Hey all, i am very experienced at EPL dream team. i have won it out of the 40 odd mates i join with for the past 2 years running. I am confident with my team this year, taking on a couple of risks but im pretty sure they'll pay dividends.

I tend to play a 5-4-1 style, seems defenders are far cheaper than strikers and can be more consistent if from a good club. My backline consists of Gallas, Carragher, Lescott, Brown and Bale. My question, is Bale going to start every game for the spurs. I know he's a great free kick taker and likes to attack, and also tottenham have bulked their midfield and defense meaning they'll get more clean sheets meaning if he plays he should be a good buy. But WILL he start or do you think they'll still bench him due to age...? Also i have Luka Modric in midfield and Afonso Alves... do you think either of these players were dodgy choices? Afonso Alves looked impressive nearing the end of season and seems strikers arent affected by goals conceded, he can focus on scoring from goals and assists. I'm not sure if modric is ready to make an impact... whats your stance?

  1. Ditch Luka Modric for the time being, 'cause he's a risky choice. You won;t go wrong taking Alves, though. He's a great player in the making.

About Bale, I don't know whether he;s going to start every game. I am not a big fan of him. But I have to say, why are you keeping Wes Brown instead of Vidic? Vidic is a far better defender than both him and Ferdinand.

  2. I would have a Portsmouth defender, since they rarely concede against weak teams.

For the first week, make Gallas captain since Arsenal would be stupid to concede.  Modric is good but I would maybe have Fabregas?  lol and for the front, I would have Santa Cruz and Berbatov.

    I play either a 4-3-3 or a 4-4-2

  3. Ok son from what I know of fantasy football you need first team regulars! Mr Bale I'm not sure is one! Good alternative would be Glen Johnson! Alves will be a hit next season I believe so good choice there!

I do however strongly disagree with your 5-4-1 formation! I choose a 4-3-3 formation which in my opinion is a far better bet!

    Good luck
