Balotelli wants to play with Ibrahimovic
The 20-year-old Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli revealed in a recent press conference that he would love to play alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the AC Milan forward. The young Italian confessed that playing in the same team as Ibrahimovic
would be a like dream coming true.
The Manchester City forward spoke to reporters ahead of Italy’s friendly fixture against Romania, in Austria. He said, “One day I will return and play with Ibrahimovic. I don't know in which shirt it will be, but
I know it will happen.”
The striker moved from Inter Milan to Manchester City for £24 million in the summer, but had never hidden his admiration for the striker. He recently went to watch his idol play and shouted “Ibra, Ibra” towards the horde of reporters gathered
outside the San Siro.
Given Looking for a Move in January
Manchester City goal keeper Shay Given admitted that he was looking for a possible move away from Eastlands, after having failed to establish himself at the club. The top class goal keeper is second in line, after Joe Hart and has decided
to move in the upcoming January transfer window.
The former Newcastle United stopper told reporters, “It’s very difficult for me. You try to work hard in training but it’s difficult to enact a match situation. I wish I was playing more because I’d feel sharper
but I can’t really change that at the moment.”
He confessed that he was not handling being second choice to Joe Hart and was hopeful that things would change for him soon, he added, “I’m not coping very well with it, to be honest. I want to be playing football,
and, hopefully, something will happen in the New Year.”
Given said that it was frustrating not being able to play, he continued, “I played in Europe a couple of weeks ago for City but I want to play every week. If I was to say I felt as sharp as I did I’d be lying. You
want to play games and when you don’t it’s frustrating.”
