EPL News: Arsenal and United target unknown Mexican goal keeper
Mexican keeper, Guillermo Ochoa has emerged to be a surprise target for not one but two Premier League giants. It has been reported that both Arsenal and Manchester United are currently looking to land the keeper.
Both of the Premier League rivals have been suffering from goal keeper related problems at their camps and have been in the market to sign a keeper for quite some time now. However it appears like the two teams have now managed to settle on the same player
and could very well be a part of a bidding war for the Mexican.
According to most experts, the keeper is currently valued at around ten million pounds, but with both teams interested in him, his price could escalate considerably.
The keeper was initially a prime target for United, but Arsenal scouts in South America also started keeping tabs on the keeper and as a result the 25-year-old is now being pursued by both the teams.
It is a well known fact that both United and Arsenal are in desperate need of a new keeper, even though it might for two completely separate reasons. United need to replace their aging keeper who has served his team well and is on the verge of retirement,
whereas Arsenal are on the lookout for a keeper who can actually make the number 1 jersey at the club his own.
The keeper seems to be a rather peculiar choice for both the teams. Despite him being a part of Club America which is easily the biggest club is Mexico, Ochoa hasn't even managed to become the number one choice keeper for Mexico and as a result most experts
are left wondering whether the keeper is good enough to play amongst the Premier Leagues elite.
There is no definite answer for that question as any answer given at the moment would be highly opinion based and as a result the same experts are encouraging the teams to make a move for the player as they could potentially be on the verge of signing the
next Mexican sensation.
