EPL News: Arsenal looking to sign German wing wizard
Arsenal are reported to be the team that is currently in pole position to sign the Werder Bremen midfielder wizard, Marko Marin. Marin has been one of the most sought after players over the last couple of months; he has so far attracted
some serious interest from Chelsea, Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
The twenty one-year-old has been so great so far that he has often been referred to as ‘The German Messi’ his reputation was done no harm, thanks to the four goals that he scored in the German Bundesliga so far.
Arsene Wenger, who almost always gets his man, has been rather keen on signing the German international. However the fact that the player could cost as much as twenty millions Euros, might be the only stumbling block in the managers path
to landing the player, this is because Wenger has almost always preferred to sign players who don’t cost so much and then develop them into some of the best players in the world.
However according to numerous sources close to the manager, it appears as though the manager is on the verge of finally turning his transfer policy around considering the fact that Arsenal are one of the only teams to have made a profit
this past fiscal year.
Marko Marin also appears to already have the Arsenal formula embedded into his DNA. He is an attacking midfielder, who can play on either flank if asked to and can even play as a shadow striker if the occasion asks for it. He has a keen
eye for goal and can find the back of the net under pressure with ease.
However the seventeen million pound evaluation of the player might be a little farfetched. This is because the player is currently only twenty one years old and has a lot to prove, before he can be considered to be world class. On the
other hand, Arsenal seem to currently need to sign a goal keeper and some defenders before they can start spending all their money on another attacking player.
This is because the team is currently more than well endowed with attackers but could really use some reinforcements at the back. However Wenger knows what he is doing at the club and will probably take all of the above into account before
finally making a move for the player.
