EPL News: Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger claims Chelsea game as must win
Arsenal's manager Arsene Wenger has gone ahead and stated that his team's clash with Chelsea, on Monday night is going to be critical for the team; to help define their season and to end 2010 on a high.
Arsenal have so far already lost to Manchester United and Chelsea away from home, but the manager is insistent on the fact that win against Chelsea on Monday, could just help get the team’s title dreams back on track again.
Arsenal will be going into the game at the Emirates after having lost five back to back games and having gone on to concede a whopping thirteen goals as well.
However Wenger hasn't lost hope and is hoping his team feels the same way as well, as the manager is reported to have said: "Of course this is a must-win game.We have mixed feelings because we came out of both games against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and
Man United this season thinking we could have won and that there wasn't a difference between the teams.”
"We have a good opportunity to show that in the coming months and that our improvement is bigger than any other team because we are a very young side.
"It's about how well we respond to what happened to us at Chelsea and Man United that will be the decider for our season.”
If Arsenal are to win on Monday night, then they are going to have a completely different game plan than the one they used against United. When Arsenal took on United, despite long spells of ball possession they just couldn’t get the ball
to their target men and hence despite having larger percentage of possession by end of the night, it was rather useless since no real chances were created.
However with the likes of Cesc Fabregas finally match fit and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 who has been Arsenal's stand out player all season long
has also insisted that he is looking to go ahead and give Chelsea a game to remember.
If that does happen, the Arsenal might just go on to beat Chelsea at home and claim their place in the race for the Premier League title.
