EPL News: Arsenal’s injury tragedy before the Dark November, Persie, Walcott, Fabregas, Nasri, Bendtner & Ramsey injuries Part 3
The Brazilian midfielder Denílson has stated on Barcelona’s encounter against Bolton Wanderers, “When you play Bolton you can't think that it is an easy game. You have to think it is a good game, a brilliant game and you have to win, the same as if you play Chelsea or Manchester United.”
Walcott will have to play a major role for Arsenal if the club wants to win the title this season. Walcott started his career from Southhampton but he was soon after acquired by Arsenal in 2006. For Southhampton Walcott had 23 appearances in a year and scored 5 goals with 2 assists.
After his 2006 arrival at North London the 21-year-old player has appeared in 139 fixtures and scored 22 goals with 18 assists. Overall he has appeared in 162 matches and scored 227 goals and 18 assists.
The recovery of 23-year-old Samir Nasri is also vital for North Londoners to end their drought of trophies. They won their last trophy in 2005 and it was the FA Cup.
Nasri started his youth career from Marseille and played with them from 2004 to 2008. He has acquired 162 appearances for them and scored 11 times. The 23-year-old attacking midfielder joined Arsenal in 2008 with Wenger singing songs of his praise. Since then he has appeared in 79 matches for the club and scored 12 goals along with 10 assists, this has taken his tally to 240 caps, 23 goals and 30 assists.
There is some good news on both Walcott and Nasri. Walcott has not been added in the injury list for the match against Bolton Wanderers. This suggests that either the injury of Walcott is not that serious or he is on the fast track to making a recovery.
The midfielder Nasri also encountered an injury and it has just been officially announced that the player is about to head into surgery for his knee. It is said that the player will make recovery in a couple of weeks, which suggests that nearly all of Arsenal’s big players will be ready by the mid of October.
This is not just ahead of schedule for Nasri but also the whole team, as probably the first time in their history the club would be heading in to the Dark November having gained all their players back from injuries and misfortunes.
The whole team would surely be racing around by the start of November, and therefore they will be in a position to manage out their last matches of the first leg in good fashion.
Wenger has commented that though he will have to suffer now with lack of players he will have the advantage later in the leg, as other teams will have higher probability to lose players, while North of London will have their best.
This would also help as Arsenal would enter in to the 2nd leg with their players in full form, rather than being exhausted or recovering from injuries.
