EPL News: Carlo Ancelotti given handsome transfer kitty to spend on players in January transfer window
Chelsea's manager Carlo Ancelotti has recently gone on to hold talks with the club's owner Roman Abramovich, in regards of the current disappointing situation they are in . Chelsea have managed to win only one of the last six games that they have played
and are now looking like shadows of the team that took to the Premier League at the start of the season.
However it seems like both Ancelotti and Abramovich have c8ome to a conclusion and that is the fact that the team needs to spend big in January.
Ancelotti is reported to have said: “I spoke to the owner… and we spoke about what we can do in January. If we need to improve our squad in January, we’ll be able to do this. The owner is available for us to do this.”
Now reports have revealed that the duo have come up with a solution which follows Manchester City's philosophy to ‘spend-till-its-right’. However most Chelsea fans will at the moment not be caring about the fact that they are being compared to City, as the
thought of new players joining the team will be like music to their ears.
Nonetheless Ancelotti is more than likely going to try and land at least a defender or two, a striker and a play maker. The team has often lacked in all three of these positions this season, more excessively over the course of the last month.
The team is in desperate need to land a player who can help provide the creative flair in the middle of the park in the absence of Frank Lampard, as it has been proven lately that the team has no replacement for Lampard at the moment. It has been seen clearly
that in his absence the team's goals just don't seem to flow.
On the other hand, the team is also running low at the back, with all the defenders at the team nearing retirement and becoming constant injury threats. As a result, this has also cost Blues a number of points this season.
Ancelotti who has in the past managed to make some wonder transfers especially when he was at AC Milan is going to be looking to repeat the same success in the transfer window with Chelsea this time around.
