Tottenham Hotspur's manager, Harry Redknapp has made it rather clear that the team's star player Gareth Bale, is not for sale under any circumstance and for any price.
Bale has so far managed to be the team’s star player over the course of the season once again showing just how good he really is, by stealing the show in the team’s midweek clash with the current reigning champions of Europe, Inter Milan.
Bale was quite simply phenomenal during the game and was the main reason for the team’s victory. On numerous occasions, Bale made Maicon look like a second grade defender, despite the fact that he is considered to be the best right back
in the world at the moment. He also managed to get two assists on three of the goals that Tottenham scored on the night and as a result was voted to be the man of the match in one of the biggest games that Tottenham have ever played.
As a result of his brilliant performances, countless rumours came into being about teams wanting to sign the player. The teams that were reported to wanting to sign the player included the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and even Inter
Milan.
However Harry Redknapp has taken a clear stance of not wanting to sell the player under any circumstance and was reported to have said: "As far as selling him goes, the people who own Tottenham are not poor people"
"They don't need to sell him”
"I don't think Gareth needs to go anywhere else to play his football.
"He needs to stay here at White Hart Lane."
"What confidence you must have as a player when you can come and do that to people who are so highly rated."
Bale is considered to be one of the best players in the world at the moment and as a result he is often compared to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo. When Harry Rednkapp was asked about this comparison that came into being, he was reported
to have said: "He's a different sort of player”
"Ronaldo's a fantastic player; amazing goal scorer. This kid is just improving, improving; he's just getting better and better."
Despite that fact, it is safe to say that Tottenham will face one of the biggest challenges of their life, if they plan on retaining the services of Gareth Bale in the future.
