EPL News: Lampard admits Harry's the man to guide England to victory
Chelsea's prolific goal scoring midfielder and the current living legend has gone ahead and rooted for his uncle, Harry Redknapp to be the next England manager, once the English FA does decide it's time for a change.
The Tottenham manager had been linked to take over as the national teams manager on numerous occasions in the past, however he never seemed to make the final cut. However with Fabio Capello having decided that he won't be taking any responsibility
with managing the team following the conclusion of the Euro 2012, it seems like the current Tottenham manager might just be the man to take over in the future.
Lampard who apart from being related to the manager, has also worked under him when he used to play for West Ham so is well aware of his management styles and the ability that he possesses. The Chelsea super star was reported to have said:
"Harry's the best choice. For me, it's got to be him.
"Obviously, I'd be very proud if he is the next England boss because of the family connection.
"If we're looking for a home-grown manager next, Harry's definitely the one. Six months ago people would have said Roy Hodgson, he was the favorite but not now."
"Look where he's taking Tottenham right now. Who can argue with this week's performance against the European champions Inter Milan?
"And remember what he did at Portsmouth and West Ham before that."
Most of the England fans and the players will be hoping that Lampard is spot on with his predictions about Redknapp. The national team is currently in dire need of a major haul and looking at how great Redknapp has been so far in his career
he might just be the man to take the more than talented English players and help them achieve some international success, which has been due for quite some time now.
However, that been said, the ultimate and final decision still lay's in the hands of the English FA since they have the last say in who is to take charge of the team. Now it is a matter of sitting back and waiting to see who finally takes
over as the next England manager.
