EPL News: Manchester City’s skipper Carlos Tevez confirms he will stay loyal to Eastlands (Part 2)
This eventually led to the transfer request last week. On the other hand, officials from the club have often described Tevez to be hard in understanding. The overlapping role of Manchester City officials have often been criticized
by many footballing experts as they explain their attitude becomes a barrier in the player’s performances.
News just a day back were causing rumours that that the manager of Manchester City, Roberto Mancini was about to take the honour of being captain from Tevez, but this decision is bound to change all that perception.
However, Tevez would have been a great loss for the team as the player was Citizens main goal scoring and inspiration providing player on field. They had certainly tried all means of mediation between Tevez and his counterparts,
but nothing seemed to be resolved therefore, this out of the blue news is certainly going to cause a few raised eyebrows.
While talking to media Mancini has been reported to say,
“He is our player and I hope he continues to play and score for us.” http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323, throughout this dilemma, has been trying to prove he is very accommodating to his players and has delivered good in the process.
Officials from the club have provided information that the talks between management and Tevez have been of great success after which Tevez confirmed that he will be playing for Manchester City. Still, pundits have not completely ignored chances of Tevez making
a transfer by the end of this season.
Though Tevez has pledged his allegiance to the club it is speculated that the player might join an Italian or a Spanish club. Tevez even commented on the issue himself saying that there is possibility of that.
According to Manchester City’s official press release,
“Carlos's contract remains unchanged and both Carlos and the Football Club are keen to focus on the opportunities that lie ahead.”
Tevez still has a lot of time remaining on his contract and according to the papers if he violates any of it, he will have to pay up to 50 million Pounds as compensation. This could happen if he refuses to play with the club or
if he retires.
Manager Roberto Mancini has stated that he is exuberant in Tevez’s stay with the club. He praised the player stating he had remarkable abilities and talents, which were vital for any good team. He stated the player was in good
form and he hoped he stayed in the same boots.
The manager stated about the player saying, “Carlos is a world class player whose contribution since he joined the Club has been invaluable.”
Pundits are now reckoning Eastlands to be a major contender in the title race of 2010-11 season. With the amount of talent present at Eastlands, this task is surely in hand.
