EPL News: Terry fears the worst regarding injury
Chelsea’s prolific captain and long time first team member, John Terry fears the worst regarding his current injury. The player is reported to have some sort of a nerve problem in his right leg and reports claim that the player has been suffering from the
problem from near the end of last season. The player is finally reported to have reached his limit of playing through the pain and is now looking for a cure.
Terry was reported to have said: “It is at a point where I cannot carry on with it.
“I used to be able to make it through games because the adrenalin gets you going and you blank the pain out.
“But now there is no decision to make. After games I’m in agony and not sleeping at all.”
As a direct result it is now close to impossible to determine as to how long the player will be out of action for. The absence of the 29-year-old has added to the worries and problems to manager Carlo Ancelotti who as a result of the absence of so many
of the team’s senior players saw his team crumble at home at the hands of the visiting Sunderland side.
The player has however confirmed that he would be absent for the immediate future of the team, nonetheless he is still clueless as to how long he will be out for. He was reported to have said: “I’m at my wit’s end. I know I won’t play against Birmingham
on Saturday but beyond that there are no clues. It could be weeks, it could be months.”
Not only is this bad news for Chelsea but also for England. Both the teams are desperately in need of reinforcements at the back and if the best possible option, who just so happens to be Terry, is out of action for a couple of months, then it is safe to
say that both the teams are due to suffer miserably in his absence.
That being said it is best for both the teams and for the game of football if a player with the quality of John Terry manages to recover as soon as possible and return to the pitch to entice the fans with his breathtaking performances once again.
