EPL News: Tottenham Hotspur or Liverpool to sign Lyon’s Lisandro Lopez
There is shocking news doing the rounds in the English Premier League. It is reported that Tottenham Hotspurs and Liverpool are eyeing Lisandro Lopez, the Lyon striker who was transferred from Porto in 2009.
Speculation is rife that both clubs are staring each other eyeball-to-eyeball in a bid to ink the deal with the 27-year-old Argentinean international this summer. As the January window draws closer, both clubs are looking forward in making some major readjustments
so that they can pursue better targets.
Media reports support those claims, adding that all papers and pens are ready at the table and what is left out is sending the invitation of negotiations to concerned parties.
It seems that the boss of White Hart Lane, Harry Redknapp is eager to increase his offensive strength even further. Sources claim that the English man has admitted that he needs more variety in his attack and for that to happen the manager needs to have
more options in his attack.
There is a very strong possibility that Redknapp will be seeing off his long time striker Robbie Keane who has constantly been in & out of the club. The 30-year-old Irish man’s form has deteriorated, not just for his club but while playing for his country
as well. He just recently missed a penalty in the Euro 2012 qualifiers and that has let down a lot of future hope from him.
With the miseries and worries of Liverpool finally evaporating, promising a better future in the horizon after a very hazy and cloudy summer at Anfield, it seems that the Reds have finally found a way out of the storm; just like their anthem sings out.
Though the American owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett are still unwilling to sell the club and have threatened to take the case to court, the deal with NESV seems inevitable.
They have just recently drawn another step closer to having total control over the Red part of Merseyside, after the High Court ruled a decision that favoured the Red Sox associates. All the previous fiasco had troubled the club a lot and they had to even
pose their world class striker Fernando Torres on the market just because of the dangers the situation was representing.
With all this going on and the new owners promising the manager of Liverpool Roy Hodgson that there will be changes along with money to reform the club, it seems that there are wayward bricks that are going to get readjusted.
Hotspurs on the other hand are at a much better position, being situated in the upper quarter of the table. Along with that, their financial situation is sailing in calm seas while their fiery attack does lead one to wonder if they really need another forward.
According to reports, Lopez is going through trouble settling with French giants Lyon, who ended at the 2nd position in the domestic league, Ligue 1. It is said that the player is being presented at 14 and half million pounds price tag but of
course when the negotiations start only then will it become clear what the value for his services are going to be like.
