EPL Review: Arsenal, Aston Villa, Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers
Arsenal:
The Gunners boss has softened his stance on the on-going situation of his star striker Robin van Persie. Robin van Persie was called on international duty by Dutch national coach Bert van Marwijk for two weeks in relation to the upcoming Netherland’s friendly
match against Turkey.  But now, Arsene Wenger has agreed and admitted that Robin Van Persie can feature for 45 minutes in order to regain match fitness.
Arsenal’s legendary manager said that he would sit down with Persie and Bert van Marwijk to sort that out.  He added that Van Persie situation was different few days ago and still he was not completely fit. Arsene Wenger also said that he would talk to Dutch
coach for playing Van Persie for 45 minutes.
Moreover, Arsene Wenger’s squad is in red-hot form currently residing at the second position just two points behind the league leaders, Chelsea.
Arsenal will face their fierce-rivals Tottenham Hotspurs in their next fixture of Barclays Premier League this weekend and would look to continue their impressive form of this season.
Aston Villa:
Gabriel Agbonlahor believes he will become a one-club player later signing a new four-and-a-half year contract. Agbonlahor has committed himself to Villa until at least the summer of 2015 and has hinted he will be happy to remain with the Midlands club for
the remainder of his career. Agbonlahor is also one of the products of Aston Villa’s youth academy and made his Barclays Premier League debut in 2006. Since then he has been a consistent marksman and also forced his way into England contention at various stages.
Agbonlahor said: "It's nice to pledge my long-term future to the club. I am happy to commit to the club. Hopefully I can progress and keep improving on what I've done so far. I am happy to keep playing for the club. I'm delighted to carry on and sign
this new contract. I am happy and I just want to keep on playing for Villa. It's my childhood club. It's the club I support and love and I just want to keep playing and improving year on year."
Aston Villa is currently sitting on the ninth position with 17 points to their name out of 13 Premier League fixtures. They will face Blackburn Rovers on Sunday for the 14th match of this season.
Birmingham City:
Birmingham City’s boss says that Hleb’s training regime would have to be stepped up in order to get best out of him. Moreover, Birmingham’s boss also revealed that his on-loan player from Barcelona has not been able to train a lot. He has been affected by
injury niggles but also a lack of pre-season action therefore looks a shadow of the player who was previously a key performer at Arsenal.
McLeish said: "Alex knows he is a big-time player and there are high expectation levels on him. He has got a reputation to preserve but he is not fully fit. He is not 100 per cent. If Hleb was fully fit, we know he would be shrugging off the challenges
on him. If we can get him top fit, we know that he will be a different player and a player who can make a difference. But I've got to do what is right for the team."
Birmingham stunned the whole world when they drew with Manchester City at Eastland last weekend. Even with that one point earned from Manchester City, Alex McLeish’s men are still in relegation zone with 13 points out of 13 matches.
